How to add weather to Google Calendar (2026)

Google Calendar has no built-in weather. Here are the 3 ways to add a daily or hourly forecast in 2026, and how to set one up in under a minute.

Does Google Calendar show the weather?

Not anymore. Google removed the built-in weather option from Google Calendar years ago, and it never came back. If you want to see whether Thursday's picnic or Saturday's run will be dry, you need to add the forecast yourself.

There are three realistic ways to do that in 2026: subscribe to a public weather calendar feed, use an add-on from the Google Workspace Marketplace, or check a separate app every time. Only the first two put the forecast where you already plan.

Option 1: a weather iCal feed

Some sites publish weather as an .ics feed you can add with Other calendars, From URL. It works, but Google refreshes external feeds only every 12 to 24 hours, so the forecast is often out of date, and many free feeds have stopped working.

Option 2: a Google Calendar add-on

An add-on writes the forecast directly into your calendar as events and updates them on its own schedule. Weather Calendar does this for free: one all-day event per day for the next 14 days, for any city, in °C or °F.

Because the events live in your own calendar, they show on your phone, tablet and computer with no extra app.

Set it up in under a minute

1. On a computer, open the Weather Calendar page on the Google Workspace Marketplace and click Install.

2. Open Google Calendar, click the Weather Calendar icon in the right sidebar, and type your city.

3. Done. The next 14 days appear as all-day events like "☀️ 5°C / 15°C – Clear sky" and refresh automatically.

Need hourly detail or wind?

If you want to know exactly when the rain starts, Weather Calendar Pro adds hour-by-hour temperature, rain chance, wind and humidity for the next two days. For golf, surf, cycling or skiing, Weather Calendar Ultra adds gusts, wind direction, air quality, UV, pressure, sunrise and sunset.

Will it clutter my calendar?

No. Weather events are marked as free time, so they never block meetings, and they never send reminders. The add-on only edits events it created, and you can clear them in one click.
