Three ways to get astrology into your calendar
Google Calendar has no horoscope option of its own, but you can bring astrology into it in three ways: switch on Google’s built-in moon-phase calendar, subscribe to an astrology calendar feed, or let an add-on write a personalized daily horoscope in Google Calendar every morning.
Here is how each one works, what it shows and what it costs, with a comparison at the end. Horoscopes are for entertainment only.
Way 1: Turn on the Phases of the Moon calendar (free)
Google Calendar includes a moon-phase calendar you can switch on. On a computer, open Settings, find Add calendar, choose Browse calendars of interest and check Phases of the Moon.
Google’s help says calendars like this one can only be set up on a computer; once added, they also appear on your phone. You get the phases of the moon in your calendar, but no reading and nothing about your sign.
Way 2: Subscribe to an astrology calendar feed
Some astrology websites publish calendars, such as planetary transits or moon signs, as an iCal (.ics) feed you can subscribe to; some are free, others paid. In Google Calendar on a computer, click the plus sign next to Other calendars, choose From URL, paste the feed’s address and click Add calendar.
Google’s help says you cannot subscribe from the Google Calendar app on Android, iPhone or iPad, so do this step on a computer. Before you subscribe, check who keeps the feed up to date and that it covers the dates you need, for example all of 2027. A feed lists dated events; it does not write a reading for your sign.
Way 3: A written daily reading with Horoscope Calendar Pro
Horoscope Calendar Pro writes a reading for you every morning and adds it to Google Calendar as one all-day event for today and one for tomorrow. It starts from your birth date and, if you know it, your birth time; your sign is worked out from your birth date, or you pick it. Choose any mix of focus areas (love, career, finance and health) and each gets its own section. It does not calculate a birth chart: your details and focus areas are given to the AI that writes the reading.
The events are marked free, never trigger reminders and use the color you choose, and the add-on never touches your own events. Your birth date stays in your own add-on settings and goes through our server to our AI provider only to write each reading. Readings are written by AI, for entertainment only.
Try it free for 7 days with no card, then CHF 9.99 a year, billed yearly via Stripe; cancel anytime. If a reading for your sun sign is all you want, see Daily Horoscope Calendar.

Compare the three ways
| Phases of the Moon | Astrology feed | Horoscope Calendar Pro | |
|---|---|---|---|
| What you get | Moon phases in your calendar | The feed’s dated events, such as transits | A written reading for today and tomorrow, with your focus areas |
| Personal to you | No | No | Yes: from your birth date |
| Cost | Free | Depends on the feed | 7-day free trial, then CHF 9.99 a year |
| Updates | Built into Google Calendar | When its publisher updates the feed | Every morning |
| Set up on | A computer | A computer | A computer |
| On your phone | Yes, once added | Check that the calendar is ticked in the app | Yes, as all-day events |
Which zodiac sign am I?
Your sun sign comes from your birthday: it is the sign the sun was in on the day you were born, which is why people search for signs by month, such as the March or July zodiac sign. Near the start or end of a sign, the exact change-over day can move by a day from one year to the next, so if your birthday sits on the edge, check a full chart.
You do not need to look it up for Horoscope Calendar Pro: it works out your sign from your birth date, or you pick it. Daily Horoscope Calendar asks you to pick your sign once.
On iPhone and Android
All three are set up in Google Calendar on a computer. Then open the Google Calendar app with the same Google account. If a calendar does not show, open the app’s menu and check that it is ticked; on Android, also check in the app’s settings that Sync is on for that calendar.
Horoscope Calendar Pro writes its readings into your main calendar, so they show wherever that calendar does.
